Richard and Louise are the husband and wife team who launched GearBox in 1997. They have built the business rapidly and it now operates from four locations in the UK. Specialising in Hire and Sales of professional audio/video equipment. Clients include major names from the fields of Broadcast, Film, Post, Multimedia, Music Studios, Production Companies and Artists and Producers. Richard and Louise have a passion for their business - their strong dedication to their clients and the service they provide has built GearBox into a highly respected, multi million pound business.

Chris Dibble - Chief Engineer
Chris Dibble is a world-renowned figure in the music recording industry, having been studio manager and chief engineer at the legendary Lansdowne Studios for over 30 years. Chris specialises in music recording and mixing for all kinds of sound-to-picture work. His impressive CV includes many major Film scores, including Billy Elliot, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Chocolat, Notes on a Scandal, Shakespeare in Love and The Talented Mr. Ripley. Chris's most recent work includes recording and mixing the score for La Vie En Rose, the multi-award winning biopic of the life of Edith Piaf.
Chris started as a trainee at Lansdowne Studios in 1974 and was promoted to engineer within 18 months. He stayed at Lansdowne until its closure in 2006, during that time his talents were also employed in the USA, Russia and all over Europe. It is Chris’s vision that has established Cream as a world-class facility, combining the latest technology with a classic, traditional studio environment.

Yan Gilbert-Miguet - Technical Manager
Yan has been Technical Manager at GearBox for the last five years, he was formerly a ‘straight A’s’ student at the Los Angeles Institute of Recording Technology, and also a masters graduate in Audio/Video Production at the University of Westminster. He worked as a recording engineer in his native France, before coming to London. Yan is an expert at installation and troubleshooting, working at lightning speed to get your session running smoothly.

Mark Eastwood - Assistant Engineer
Mark is Richard and Louise’s eldest son, so he has had the inside track on audio/video technology for several years – Mark is on hand to lend expert assistance as required.
